YouSoft is a young and fast-growing software company with impeccable credentials for innovative e–commerce development and corporate management tools, including CRM. The company is based in offices near Notting Hill, in West London. We have a range of exciting clients whose software, database and web requirements are being developed by us using innovative software engineering approaches.

We are looking for an experienced .NET developer with a desire to learn and become a quality producer of web and software systems. The ideal candidate will possess both the technical skills required to innovate in this space, as well as the interpersonal and communication skills to assist us in a client-facing role on a day to day basis, but in terms of project management of existing clients and potentially in business development with new clients.

ASP.NET Web Developer

We are seeking individuals with impeccable credentials for innovative e–commerce development using ASP.NET, VB.NET, OO and SQL Server. The ideal candidate will have entry-level skills in the above technologies and exposure to Ajax/Javascript/XML is a bonus.

The role will offer exposure to the entire lifecycle from inception through to development and ongoing maintenance / upgrade. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a small to medium size software engineering role, and will be seeking and able to assume duties including client-facing roles for new business development, working with the CEO, and for day-to-day client project management in a busy, demanding and pressured environment.

Duties will also include:

1. Creating and maintaining multi-browser compatible websites utilizing the technologies listed below, implementing our product features into new and existing websites.
2. Multitask between regular task requests, small projects and work as a team on larger projects.
3. Aid in conversion to newer technologies and develop improvements for existing processes.
4. Planning technical solutions and database design, as well as in producing technical specifications.
5. Assessing and cultivate long-term strategic goals for web and database development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
6. Analyzing user requirements and design functional specifications for client/server web and database applications.
7. Work with development lead to ensure that software quality meets standard business requirements.
8. Ensure a consistent look and feel across the web sites, applications, intranets, and extranets by developing and promoting a uniform Web branding strategy in collaboration with marketing department.
9. Development and integration of graphical and multimedia components into Web sites and other Web applications.
10. Identify, recommend, and prioritise new web features and applications in conjunction with business leaders and department managers.
11. Where required, create and develop transaction-based e-commerce solutions for business-to-business and business-to-consumer applications.

The ideal candidate would  have skills in the majority of the following:

ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL, HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, ASP.NET Developer, ASP.NET Programmer, ASP.NET Web Developer, Flash, Graphic design (Photoshop/Flash/Illustrator)

Some or all of the following would be typical attributes:

1. Bachelors degree or equivalent
2. Ability to analyze, problem solve, multitask and most importantly, innovate
3. Microsoft MCP Certification will be required within 9 months of hire, if not already in place
4. Able to work with the CEO to direct and proactively resolve challenges and issues, often with direct client interaction

The role is based in Westbourne Studios, Notting Hill, London and is well connected on the London Underground and Bus services.

YouSoft anticipates a salary package appropriate to the individual, but this is likely to include a competitive base salary commensurate with experience, performance-related bonus, typical benefits and participation in our company share option scheme.
